Mauricio Villeda Bermúdez
About
Mauricio is one of our founding partners. He was our Managing Partner since 2006 until 2019. He is skilled in the areas of corporate, mining, energy, M&A, corporate, banking and finance, aviation, and infrastructure. Mauricio has advised leading companies in cross-border transactions in various sectors. He was Presidential Candidate in 2013 and he is actually a Congressman of the Honduran Congress.
He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Recent Work
Mauricio is actively participating in M&A’s processes in various sectors, in energy projects, as well as advising pharmaceutical companies in regulatory issues.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in Bioethics, University of Itsmo, Guatemala.
- Law degree, Universidad Autónoma de Honduras
- Legal Director of the Legal Service of the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church in Honduras (1991-1998)
- Member of the Pontifical Academy of Life of the Holy See (1997-2012)
- Presidential Candidate (2013)
